In today's world, most people do not understand their own surnames' origins. Surnames have been taken for granted. This project is targetted to make people more aware of the origin of their surnames as well as knowing the importance and significence of it. 

 

This is a website done by project “姓之源”．We made this website to be a source of information for people who are eager to learn about the origin of the their surname, as well as their ancestors.As the Chinese saying goes, “饮水思源” we always need to remember the hardwork of our ancestors who came all the way from China to Singapore, working tirelessly for us. Thus, we should always remmeber them by treasuring and knowingh our surnames well. We have also created a facebook page to promote our website. 

 

 

在当今的新加坡青少年社会里，大部分的人都不了解他们自己姓氏的来源。姓氏已经被人们当作理所当然的东西。我们做这个专题作业的目的就是想改善这一点，让人们知道自己姓氏的 由来和来源。

 

我们要以网页形式来详细讲述新加坡主要姓氏的来源和中间的经过和最后他们的祖先是如何到新加坡的。我们也会在社交网站面簿上经常发一些跟姓氏相关的有趣知识和在网页上出一些有关介绍姓氏的选择问题来让他们更加理解自己的姓氏。我们还会制作关于不同姓氏卡片。卡片的形式我们以后会详细 地讨论。我们也会用面簿网页来推广我们专题作业，让更多人知道并关注我们的专题作业。
